A hotel renovation uncovers the remains of a young woman named Ally Thurston who disappeared in 1960. She had become a airline stewardess that year with dreams of seeing the world, but was quickly sobered by the rampant sexism and harassment she had to endure. Meanwhile, Lilly finally meets the mysterious Paul Cooper.
