Detective Josie Sutton was a brief addition to the Homicide squad. Her father was Tommy Sutton, an officer shot and killed during a traffic stop in 1981.

In the fall of 2005, Sutton transferred to Homicide from the North-East detectives squad, following rumors of an affair with her superior, Sergeant White. Her looks and reputation led to a chilly reception from Nick Vera, as well as some advances from Scotty Valens.

Sutton's stint at Homicide was brief, no more than a few weeks, before she apprently transferred out. She was already long gone when Lieutenant John Stillman offered Kat Miller a spot in the squad. Her current whereabouts are unknown.
