Shirley Reed was murder victim Madison Reed's mother. She would begin to raise her daughter on her own after her husband and Madison's father left. This drastic change in her life would devastate her so much that she would turn to drugs. Surprisingly, she would be getting them from one of her daughter's schoolmates, Gibby Hanes, a then eighteen year old high school senior and secret drug dealer. The only people who knew about his side business were his customers (some of his schoolmates), Shirley herself and others.
