Sam Tarrance was a then homeless man who was also an alcoholic. He known for this episode by being wrongly convicted of raping and murdering Eve Kendall. But he was freed when the case was reopened and that the DNA was retested at the scene, which was found that it wasn't Sam's, but her REAL attacker (murderer), Jim Larkin's.
