Rick Rendell was a roller DJ in 1978 and sold alcohol and narcotics to minors, specifically Julie Reed, a "fast" teen who hung out well past her bedtime to get with the adults of the era. After Missy protects Julie from being attacked by Rick while under the influence, Julie misreads her intention and gets angry at Missy, thinking she ruined her chances of being Rick's girlfriend. Julie abandons Missy, who dies in a ravine. Years later in 2008, Rick is arrested for his crimes instead of an actual doer in the episode.
