Petey (last name unknown) is a character in "8 Years". He was friends with Clem Garris, his wife Sally Garris and May Pierson since high school.
Petey got into college on a football scholarship but he lost it when he froze up on the field. He came back to town despondent. Over the next eight years, Petey picked himself back up and by 1988, he had become a car thief working for Henry Mack. He got Clem in on the action too.
One night, Petey helped Clem steal a car so he and May could run away together. Henry found out about it and went after them. Petey found out from May that Henry killed Clem. He retaliated and shot him too.
Petey is in prison in 2006. He was reunited with May and confessed to killing Henry so his sentence was increased.
