Jammal is a construction worker and Tyra's abusive boyfriend. During the night of Derek, Tom, and Della's murders, Jammal would catch his girl being hit on by Derek and then proceeded to beat Derek up, until a drugged Tre Jackson showed up and aimlessly threw empty bottles at him, causing enough fuzz to alarm Della and Joe, as Della buzzes both him and Tre away. One year later, Jammal still beats his girlfriend. He would be accused of killing his girlfriend's co-worker and the Lincolns because Della and Derek tried to encourage Tyra to leave him.
He is seen later kissing his girlfriend, leaving for work. Unbeknownst to him, Tyra was handed over a women's shelter calling card with Detective Rush's number in it which she hid in her cigarette pack.
