Freddie was the uncle and guardian of his nephew, Herman Lester, Philadelphia‘s biggest sports star: the king of his school’s basketball team! Freddie was always there for Herman, as he was like a son to him. However, Freddie was also money-hungry and wanted to be his nephew‘s promoter. He believed Herman was a “sports god” and had to be exploited and shown to the world, which his nephew already was, but in a more healthy, comfortable way: by being himself and living life the way it was meant to be lived.
Freddie would be accused of Herman's murder when his nephew stood up to him and wanted to be his own person; going his own way! But the real killer would be found: the father of one of Herman’s former teammates, Billy Berkenpass Sr..
