Brenda was a prostitute who worked on a street in the Badlands.
In early 2004, Detectives Scotty Valens, Nick Vera, and Will Jeffries, who were searching for murder suspect Julius Smith in the Badlands, parked themselves on the street to prevent anyone from buying drugs or picking up prostitutes. Brenda went over to object to their tactics, but stopped short of giving up Julius' location.
Just as the detectives predicted, however, Brenda soon spread Julius' name all over the neighborhood, and the police received an anonymous tip on Julius' whereabouts soon after.
