Belinda Hutchins is a character from "Wednesday's Women". She went to Hazelton, Mississippi along with Ella Turner, Miriam Forrester and Violet Golding during Freedom Summer 1964 disguised as a Tupperware saleslady to teach uneducated black children for three days.

Belinda almost blew her cover when she ran into Miriam who was in town with her hosts, Jim Horn and his sister Kitty Doyle. This encounter indirectly led to Miriam's death as Jim was a member of the KKK and he was suspicious of her from the start.

After Miriam was murdered, the other three hightailed it back to Philadelphia. Violet reported Miriam's murder to the police but the bigoted officer they met only questioned Belinda and Ella for harassing Violet. To hide their involvement, they staged Miriam's death to look like a hit-and-run accident.

Months after Miriam's death, Belinda moved to Hazelton to continue teaching. She is still teaching in 2008 at the Hazelton Community Center, which used to be a freedom school. In the end, Belinda and Violet are reunited and they see Miriam's spirit.
