Danny Finch was a 12-year-old boy who was murdered by his friend Chuck Pierce in 1969.
Danny enjoyed math, science, and chemistry. He skipped a grade when he was 8 years old to join his older sister’s grade. According to Chuck, Danny was “obsessed” with rockets. Danny was beat up by Bobby’s half brother, Malcolm, but Danny was able to punch Malcolm in the nose before Seth hit Malcolm and Griff with a tree branch. The boys go to the jump over the river and Danny and all make it, except chuck. Chuck falls and Danny jumped in after Chuck to try and save him, but loses his glasses and struggles to swim. Chuck hits Danny in the head with a tree branch, killing him, after Danny says he won’t tell anyone that Chuck was scared to jump. Chuck was jealous of Danny.
