Brill was a factory that manufactured B-25 warplanes during World War II. It was owned by Henry Walker, and was the workplace of his son Buddie Walker, as well as Alice Miller, Fannie, Martha, and also Alice's neighbor Dottie, who served as Mr Walker's secretary. Mr Walker had a habit of shorting supplies of rivets to sell on the black market, a practice many of his workers noticed but none ever confronted him, except for Alice Miller. Mr Walker's justification for stealing supplies paid for by the military was that he had lost two sons in the War. Other than this habit, according to Buddie, his dad dedicated his whole life to Brill, and often stayed all night doing the books.
